A retreat in the Somerset countryside, School Cottages are within 15 minutes of Bath and are only a short drive from Bristol, Street, Wells, Cheddar, Stonehenge and Glastonbury. A destination for all seasons, where the log fires create a cosy ambience to the perfect winter hideaway and the extensive gardens bursting with beautiful cottage plants provide a colourful backdrop to the British summer.

School Cottages maintain their 19th Century traditional charm while offering the luxury and comfort of contemporary furnishings and décor throughout. They are cosy and homely, yet full of character and are perfect as an idyllic romantic retreat, a family getaway or that relaxing well-earned break you’ve been promising yourself.

Our calming gardens invite you to sit by the pond awhile, or take a look at our vegetable garden and orchard with pygmy goats, ducks and chickens, whose eggs provide a part of our sumptuous breakfasts.

We offer romantic wedding and honeymoon packages, VIP accommodation for local festivals and special Spa breaks. Plus, if you’re holidaying with a crowd, we welcome you to book both the self-catering cottage and the bed and breakfast rooms for your whole party.
